Let’s have a Christmas party. Why not? Seems like fun? Thursday, December 19, starting at 4pm and running until you get tired (or when we run out of beer and prizes…or when we close at 10pm, whichever comes first), it’s half Yuletide Tap Takeover and half Prize Raffle Party we’re calling the Flingers Craft Christmas Bash.
For the Prize Raffle part, you need to dress holiday festive. What’s that? We dunno. But we’ll know it when we see it. Ugly Christmas sweater. Beautiful Christmas sweater. Santa suit. Christmas Tree necktie. Up to you. But if you’re dressed festive, you’ll get entered into the prize raffle drawings, which we’ll do throughout the evening. If you’re not dressed festive, you get nothing (except an otherwise good time). Raffle prizes include brewery glassware and other fun merch. They’d make great stocking stuffers for people you’ve procrastinated shopping for.

Our Description: If you’ve had this annual liquid Christmas tree in previous years, we think this batch might be the best yet. Loads of spruce & pine with a nice balance of earthy dankness, citrus, and juicy tropical peach, apricot and berry flavors from the Simcoe, Citra, & Columbus hops. Outstanding. You’re drinking a Christmas tree and it’s glorious.

Our Description: Great big white stout with white chocolate and peppermint. Tastes like a spiked peppermint hot chocolate with a dash of vanilla. Tons of fun to drink!

ABV: 6.4%
Our Description: Blueberry. Cinnamon. Porter. Yes, you read those three words together correctly. This is a holiday treat like none other, with the blueberry and cinnamon flavors dancing to and fro, on top of roasted coffee undertones. (And the cinnamon is from Bloomington Spice Works!) This is a complex, delicious winter brew that falls into the “must try” category.

Style: Imperial/Double Coffee Porter

Our Description: Smooth imperial porter with brewed with vanilla & “peppermint mocha coffee” from Columbia Street Roastery in Champaign. Delicious coffee and chocolate flavors with a hint of mint!
Name: Riverlands | Hoppy Grinchmas
Style: Winter Red IPA
ABV: 6.5%
Our Description: Winter seasonal IPA with Mosaic, Simcoe, and Idaho 7 hops, this hoppy red IPA is dominated by a wonderful balance of piney hops and sweet red malts. Lighter body and pretty bitter, it’s a great red winter (warmer) ale.

Our Description: Surprisingly fruity (in a great way!) We noticed flavors of peaches, strawberry & maybe even some cranberry alongside a malty, grainy, dark wheat backbone. Sweet, smooth, and even though it’s not your typical dunkelweizen, we think it’s a fantastic winter brew for the holiday season!
